Pete "The Greek" Letsos

 Pete "The Greek" Letsos (P.T.G.) started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in his teenage years in his hometown of Chicago with the Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Team under the tutelage of Carlson Gracie Jr. and Carlson Gracie Sr.  

Within a few years, Pete was competing with the best in the world and was winning many international tournaments.  After years of training and competing in the U.S., Pete packed up and moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to train with the best in the world. While in Brazil he would train 10 hours daily with many champions and was featured 2 times on national television and also featured in the book, The Gracie Way. Most of his time in Brazil was spent at Mestre Osvaldo Alves' gym. There, he helped teach the kids classes and played a part in producing many Kids National Champions.    

After 4 years in Brazil, Pete was invited to train with BJ Penn where he would train and teach at the gym.  Since returinig to Chicago "PTG" has also cornered world champions in MMA .  Pete feels fortunate to have the experience he does and is eager to teach people in his hometown of Chicago. He feels that jiu jitsu is more of a lifestyle than anything else.  

"I try and make each class build upon the last. I have seen Jiu Jitsu change many for the better and that's why I believe in what I teach."  

He continues to train with the best and often travels to talk and train with other experts. Pete is constantly striving to learn new techniques and training methods to pass to his students. Pete uses all of his knowledge and experience to create a fun and safe way to master Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
